Club

DAP CC are a close-knit bunch who embrace the social aspect of cycling, in addition to the competitive side. The club meet at The Bell in St Olaves every sunday for 50 to 60 mile group rides.

The club rides usually have a bit of everything – Some chit-chat, steady miles, and a burn up over the dam before refreshments and a few laughs at The Bell afterwards. There is also a Tuesday chaingang which takes place around the Somerleyton circuit.

As promoting members of the Eastern Road Race League, DAP CC also host a National B and Regional B road race annually, usually on the same day. The whole club pulls together to make these races successful – whether it’s marshalling, providing coffee and cake at the HQ or driving the lead car in the convoy.

DAP CC also have several British Cycling-accredited marshals and a commissaire amidst their ranks. Off the bike, there are plenty of social events and get-togethers throughout the year.
